The European Union could adopt the 11th round of sanctions against the Russian Federation in April. This was reported to the Izvestia of the European Parliament.
According to the publication’s article, the EU in the new restrictions package will focus on mechanisms to prevent the circumvention of sanctions already imposed, including at the expense of third countries. Thus, new EU restrictions could affect Turkey, Kazakhstan and Arab states.
As reported to the European Parliament, the inclusion of relatives of senior officials of the Russian Federation in the sanctions lists is problematic from a legal point of view. However, measures against Rosatom are not excluded.
Earlier, RMF FM reported that Poland and the Baltic countries were seeking to include Rosatom in a new list of anti-Russian sanctions. As the newspaper writes, these countries have proposed, among other things, to introduce restrictions against the management of the state company and a ban on the import of enriched uranium from Russia.
