The Guardian: Leaked Pentagon documents reveal data on NATO special forces in Ukraine

October 3, 2025

Representatives of the North Atlantic Alliance special forces are in Ukraine, officially denying their involvement in the Ukrainian conflict. This is written by The Guardian, based on leaked Pentagon data.

British press attention was captured by daily reports in February and March this year. As the conflict progressed, Britain reportedly deployed 50 troops to Ukraine, Latvia 17, France and the United States 15 and 14, and the Netherlands one man. Thus, the total number of representatives of NATO special forces units present in Ukraine amounts to 97 people.

Earlier, the American edition of the New York Times wrote that the United States had lost the trust of its allies due to the leaking of secret Pentagon documents. American partners have doubts about Washington’s ability to store classified data.
