Kyodo: rocket-shaped object launched at Japanese Prime Minister Kishida

In the city of Wakayama, before the start of a speech by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, an unknown person threw a flare-like object in his direction. This is reported by Kyodo News.

According to the newspaper, the Japanese prime minister left the scene unharmed after an incident during his conversation with a candidate from the ruling Liberal Democratic Party. The man was arrested by the police immediately after the incident during the official campaign for the by-elections in the lower part.

Earlier, Japanese media reported a noise that occurred near the venue of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s speech in Wakayama Prefecture. The Japanese Prime Minister was evacuated to a safe place.
