Residents of Vladimir will see a unique meteor shower on the night of April 22

According to the press center of the Moscow Planetarium, residents of the 33rd region will be able to observe an exciting phenomenon – a unique meteor shower.

A spring shower of stars is expected on the night of April 21-22. It is also called the Lyrid meteor shower – it is a kind of tail of the fragments of ice and dust from Comet Thatcher. At the height of this stellar “shower”, up to 18 meteors per hour will fall per hour. It’s a lot!

According to the planetarium staff, on this day even the moon will not interfere with the contemplation of this unique phenomenon.

And to observe this spring meteor shower, you need to be in a place without artificial lighting – so the effect of contemplation will turn out to be more vivid.

Remember that in August last year, Vladimir saw a powerful starfall – then in an hour you could see up to 150 meteors falling.
