The US Ambassador to Moscow visited Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich for the first time at the Lefortovo remand center.
“Today I visited WSJ reporter Evan Gershkovich at Lefortovo Remand Center. This is the first time we have had access to Evan since he was wrongfully detained over 100 years ago. two weeks. Feeling good and holding up. We reiterate our call for Evan’s immediate release,” U.S. Ambassador Lynn Tracy tweeted.
In early April, members of the PMC visited Gershkovich and said that the journalist was in the Lefortovo quarantine cell, that he had no complaints and that during the meeting he was ” happy” and “joked a lot”.
The correspondent was arrested until May 29, he is accused of espionage. The journalist does not confess guilt.
Earlier, Gershkovich wrote a letter to his family in Russian.
