The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the Russian army in the direction of Donetsk took possession of three more quarters in the southern, central and northern parts of Artyomovsk.
“In the direction of Donetsk, as a result of active actions, assault detachments captured three quarters of the northern, central and southern parts of the city of Artemovsk (Bakhmut),” the department’s Telegram channel reports.
Support for the liberation of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) was provided by airborne forces and units of the southern group of forces. Attempts by the Ukrainian armed forces to carry out a counterattack from the flank were also thwarted.
The military department on the eve reported that the assault detachments of the Wagner group, with the help of the Airborne Forces and the forces of the “South” group of troops of the RF Armed Forces, captured two neighborhoods in the northwest and in the central part of Artyomovsk.
