Alexander Uss has been the head of the region since 2017. Previously, he served as Speaker of the Regional Legislative Assembly for many years.
Earlier, rumors about the imminent resignation of Uss regularly appeared, which the politician himself commented on, calling them “very good old song.” Uss said the decision on his nomination for a second term would be made taking into account the opinions of Krasnoyarsk residents and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to the plan, the election of the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory was to take place on the day of the single vote in September this year. However, Notepad said a few weeks ago: Alexander Uss will not be able to participate in the elections and will leave his post.
