Federal Security Service (FSB) investigators have accused Dmitry Kiche, deputy head of the Moscow arms factory Promtekhnologiya testing laboratory, of state treason in favor of foreign states. The accused is currently in the Lefortovo remand center, reports TASS with reference to law enforcement agencies.
“FSB investigators charged with committing a crime under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Treason”), regarding Russian citizen Kichi Dmitry Aleksandrovich,” the source said.
At the Lefortovsky court in Moscow, TASS confirmed the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention for the accused, but declined to comment further due to the fact that the criminal case contains material classified as “secret”.
The Promtekhnologiya factory has been manufacturing hunting and sporting rifles since 2011.
Previously, a married couple was arrested in the Sverdlovsk region on suspicion of espionage. The spouses are suspected of collaborating with the Ukrainian special services.
