The Zaporizhia nuclear power plant will begin full operation by Russian standards by 2030. This was reported to TASS by the adviser to the general director of the company Rosenergoatom Renat Karchaa.
“The modernization and development plans are quite ambitious. At present, the processes of analysis, specification and preparation of relevant production processes for launch are underway,” he said.
The agency’s interlocutor added that at present the process of transitioning the ZNPP to the standards of the Russian Federation is already actively underway. He also pointed out that Kiev did not actually invest in the development of the station, but only said so orally.
According to the advisor to the CEO of Rosenergoatom, such a long time is needed for the transition also because a number of important nuances must be taken into account in the nuclear industry.
A few days ago, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, expressed concern about the continued bombing of territories near the ZNPP. According to him, experts from the station’s agency hear them almost every day.
