40 Russian soldiers returned from Ukrainian captivity

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that following negotiations, 40 Russian servicemen, who were in mortal danger, were returned from their Ukrainian captivity.

“40 Russian servicemen were returned from territory controlled by the Kiev regime, who were in danger of death in captivity,” the ministry said.

It is specified that the aircraft of the WRC military transport aviation of the Russian Federation will deliver all prisoners to Moscow for further treatment in the medical institutions of the Ministry of Defense.

All released soldiers receive medical and psychological assistance.


Earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov, said that the Ukrainian side is negotiating with Russia on the exchange of prisoners of war in the “all for all” format.
