The decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the external management of foreign assets does not deal with issues of ownership and does not deprive the owners of their property. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
“The decree does not deal with property issues and does not deprive owners of their property,” Peskov said.
The press secretary of the Russian president also noted that we are talking about the temporary adoption of management decisions by Russia.
Recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the transfer of foreign assets to temporary management. The document notes that this is possible in the event of the seizure of assets of the Russian Federation abroad. Later, the Russian leader signed a document according to which the shares of foreign shareholders in two energy companies are transferred to the external management of the Federal Real Estate Management Agency.
