The Japanese government intends to start training Ukrainian sappers on Polish territory in July, using modern equipment to search for explosive devices. The Sankei Shimbun newspaper writes about it, citing government sources.
It should be noted that the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will act as the organizer of the training process. He also plans to bring in experts from Cambodia.
In addition, the material of the publication indicates that a few days ago Kiev received four Japanese ALIS installations promised by Tokyo in January, which allow the location of mines to be located with high accuracy. These systems will be used at training events for specialists of the National Emergency Service of Ukraine, the article says.
The attraction of Cambodian experts to Japan is explained by the fact that the country has extensive experience in the disposal of unexploded ordnance in connection with the many years of civil wars and armed clashes that have taken place there. .
Journalists also write that Ukrainian sappers have already completed the first stage of training in Japan and Cambodia at the beginning of this year.
