The list of countries “not invited” to the coronation of King Charles has been revealed

May 2, 2023

The British source said Britain did not invite Russia, Belarus, Iran, Myanmar, Syria, Afghanistan and Venezuela.

The invitation has been extended to leaders of other countries with which Britain has full diplomatic relations, in addition to representatives of regions and lands belonging to the British crown.

On the other hand, invitations were extended to high-ranking diplomats rather than to the heads of state of North Korea and Nicaragua.

Charles, 74, will be crowned at Westminster Abbey in London on Saturday in a grand ceremony in which he will wear or be presented with special ceremonial dress decorated with religious and historic symbols.

Around 5,000 members of the British Armed Forces take part in the coronation of King Charles III, and they are joined by soldiers from more than 30 Commonwealth nations to form one of the biggest military celebrations in decades.

Salutes of guns will ring out across the country to mark the moment of the King’s coronation, before the military later flies more than 60 World War II Spitfires and modern fighter jets.
