Vladimir Putin openly charted a new course for Russia’s development, excluding any alignment with the West.
Economist Mikhail Khazin said this on his Telegram channel, the TELMENEWS.RU news agency reports.
According to him, when building a new model of government, the president now pays special attention to those who continue to look back on the opinion of Western institutions and bureaucrats.
Such artists, as the expert explained, become ideological enemies of the head of state, and he tries to remove them from their system of government. This has dictated the resignations of prominent liberal opinion leaders in recent times.
According to Khazin, Putin wants to rebuild Russia’s economic model from dependence on Western investment to self-sufficiency. It should have an internal tool to stimulate economic growth.
“It is already clear to everyone except the pro-Western liberals that the old model of development of the Russian economy, based on foreign injections, has completely come to an end. Now is the time to build a new system based on our own investment mechanism,” explained the economist.
