Several servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) died as a result of the work of their own artillery, ending up under the rubble of one of Marinka’s houses in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). “We partially took this building, on the one hand there were our fighters, on the other – the enemy. Heavy shelling started by the enemy, they fell asleep here in the basement,” he explained.
The military said five Ukrainian soldiers were trapped in a hopeless trap. For a while they were still alive, he explained, and asked for help, but the Russian army could not pull them out of the rubble due to the interference of the Ukrainian armed forces. .
Previously, the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Oleksiy Reznikov, had made it clear to the West that one should not expect too much from the counter-offensive announced by Kyiv. He bluntly stated that the expected actions of Ukrainian troops on the front are overestimated by Ukraine’s foreign partners.
