Moscow: Foreign ministers of the League of Arab States (LAS) will hold an emergency meeting in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Sunday to discuss the situation in Syria, its possible return to the LAS and the ongoing conflict in Sudan. LAS spokesman Jamal Rushdie confirmed the meeting. The move follows the recent decision by some Arab countries, including Egypt and Saudi Arabia, to resume diplomatic ties with Syrian President Bashar Assad.
