Investigative committee chairman Alexander Bastrykin said the attempt on the life of writer Zakhar Prilepin was an operation of Ukrainian special services. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti. According to Bastrykin, the preparations for the attack on the publicist were “very powerful, strong”. The head of the department pointed out that an ammunition cache was discovered in the Moscow region, with the help of which they blew up Prilepin’s car.
Bastrykin also said that Alexander Permyakov, who was arrested in the car explosion case with Prilepin, had accomplices.
“He did not act alone. He is an interpreter. We are now establishing accomplices, ”said the president of the commission of inquiry.
Prilepin is still in the hospital. The doctors operated on him, he feels fine.
