According to reports, the earthquake occurred at 04:16 am local time on Thursday. The epicenter was at a depth of 40 kilometers (25 mi).
No tsunami warning has been issued in this regard. Train traffic was temporarily suspended and elevators in buildings were shut down due to the earthquake.
