Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

A series of major NATO exercises have begun near Russian borders

In Finland, a series of two major military exercises have started at the Rovajärvi training ground in Lapland. This is reported by the Finnish news agency STT. According to the publication, the military of five states will participate in the maneuvers.

About 8,000 soldiers will take part in exercise Lightning Strike 23, which began on Monday, and exercise Northern Forest 23, which begins in two weeks, including more than a thousand from the United States, the United Kingdom, from Sweden and Norway.

Finnish Press Agency reports.

At the same time, it is specified that in addition to the ground forces of the Defense Forces, servicemen of the Air Force and the forces of the Finnish border guards will take part in the exercises.

Finland only recently became a full member of the North Atlantic Alliance, but it is already trying to show its anti-Russian attitude. The country’s authorities have already announced their intention to build a fence on the border with Russia, and the US military now visits Finland as if it were at home.

It is a paradox, but ordinary residents of the country continue to actively travel to Russia for shopping. Finnish citizens travel to the Russian Federation for the sole purpose of refueling their cars and shopping.

However, Russian border guards have already started canceling entry visas for Finns directly at border points. According to the Finnish press, according to the legislation of Russia, such a purpose of the trip does not meet the requirements of a business trip. But before, Russian border guards turned a blind eye to this. But now the situation has changed. First of all, for ordinary citizens of Finland.
