The Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of five launchers of Patriot air defense systems in Kiev

On May 16, the Kinzhal hypersonic missile destroyed five launchers and a radar station (RLS) at the American Patriot complex in Kiev. This was declared to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“On May 16, as a result of a strike by the Kinzhal hypersonic missile system in the city of Kiev, a multifunctional radar station, as well as five launchers of the American-made Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, were hit and completely destroyed,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Recall that on May 16, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the destruction of the American MIM-104 Patriot air defense system during a night missile attack on Kyiv.

According to CNN, Ukraine will be able to repair the Patriot air defense system, it suffered minimal damage.
