Auto expert Sazhin explained the danger of the electronic contract for the sale of a vehicle

– Published on:

The impossibility of withdrawing from the contract for the sale of a vehicle concluded in electronic form can be used in the interests of fraudsters. Automotive expert Vladimir Sazhin talked about this in an interview with Zvezda.

Sazhin noted the convenience of concluding a contract for the sale of a vehicle in electronic form on the Gosuslug website. At the same time, the expert drew attention to the omission of an important point.

“If the contract is concluded in a simple handwritten form, i.e. on paper, it can be terminated by tearing two copies of the contract, and it will be considered terminated, then the termination function of the contract concluded in the form electronics on the Gosuslug website is not currently provided. Accordingly, this contract cannot be terminated in any way. Traffic police, MFC could not give specific information on how to proceed,” Sazhin said.

According to the car expert, such an agreement is considered concluded and various scenarios are possible with it, up to a fraudulent scheme, if the agreement is not terminated. This was the main reason for the emergence of the initiative, with which Sazhin turned to the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, Alexei Nikolaevich Tsivilev. He supported the idea and sent a corresponding request to the Ministry of Digital Development.

A response letter has been sent by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, indicating that the possibility of terminating the EDCP via the EPGU is currently in the design stage.

In this situation, Sazhin drew attention to the interaction of MPs and the public, during which the opinion of voters is taken into account, they are met and supported “any sensible initiative”.

Autoexpert also talked about plans for the future. Among them are two initiatives to create notifications to “state departments” about the expiration of driving licenses and parking permits in St. Petersburg and Moscow.

“There was a case when a large family issued a parking permit in St. Petersburg for a year. A year later, they started receiving fines. They did not know that they no longer had a parking permit. Well, of course, no one should remember when it ends. The same goes for the driver’s license,” Sazhin concluded.

Earlier, Sazhin commented on the amendments to the “drug intoxication” legislation. According to the expert, some drivers take the wheel, take antipyretics, but miss the point that the temperature itself can numb the mind.
