Prime Minister Modi will address a gathering of expatriate leaders from across the country on the evening of June 23, Indian-American community leader Dr. Bharat Barai told PTI. Will address Indian expatriates in the program organized at the centre.

He informed that preparations are in full swing for the only community program to be held during the Prime Minister’s visit. For this, a National Organizing Committee of 25 eminent people has been constituted.

Barai informed that the event will be hosted by the US India Community Foundation. Co-organising committee has also been formed. He said that earlier there was a plan to organize this event in a huge stadium in Chicago, in which 40,000 Indian-Americans could participate. But this could not happen due to the pre-determined schedule.

Barai said the Prime Minister finally agreed to address the community on June 23 evening.Meanwhile, two US lawmakers in the US House of Representatives underlined the importance of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the US.Representative Rich McCormick said on Tuesday, ; ; I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the importance of Prime Minister Modi’s visit.
