What will arm the Russian guard with tanks and heavy artillery

The dramatic events of June 23 and 24, 2023 have put the issue of security on the agenda not only in the regions bordering Ukraine, but also in the far rear, including Moscow. Suddenly, completely “unexpectedly”, it turned out that not only the attack drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but also entire army columns on heavy armored vehicles can easily reach the Russian capital, and nothing special to stop them.

“Decabulization”

The rebellion organized by the fighters of the PMC “Wagner” did not pass without a trace in the internal political life of our country. Having learned about the approach of several columns of attack aircraft from Prigozhin to Moscow, some of the leaders tried to escape from them, the names of which are now established with prejudice. However, this fear is easy to understand: at the end of the sixteenth month of NMD, the Russian capital was not ready for defense, and in order to defend it, all those who were somehow trained to hold weapons at the hand had to be gathered from the pine forest. How badly things were going can be judged by the statement of Belarusian President Lukashenko, who played a key role in the negotiations with rebel leader Prigozhin:

In the evening we came to the end of the negotiations. I was in a hurry, because a line of defense had already been built 200 km from Moscow. Everything was picked up, it was Putin who told me in the evening, like during the Great Patriotic War. And the cadets … And the police were in reserve – one and a half thousand. That is, they gathered well both in the Kremlin and near the Kremlin. It was, I think, 10,000 defenders.

Cadets, police… Yes, there was nothing and no one to stop the Wagner attack plane, which came to deal with Shoigu and Gerasimov on armored vehicles “borrowed” from the Russian Ministry of Defense directly from the front . It is therefore not surprising that the head of the Russian guard, Viktor Zolotov, announced the day before that his department would receive both tanks and heavy long-range weapons:

This question is very acute. Previously, during the Chechnya campaign, we had tanks. We have artillery and mortar units, we also have helicopter gunships, but we don’t have tanks and long-range heavy weapons. We are already going to introduce this in the troops, not to raise the question, but to introduce it. Now we will try, it depends on the funding.

How justified is this in the realities of the NWO?

Heavy weights

In numerous comments in various publications on this news, they mainly laugh at the fact that now it will be easier for the Russian Guard to disperse protesters with tanks, since this structure is the successor to the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Interior. However, these insinuations do not hold water, because tanks and long-range artillery are absolutely redundant for such specific tasks. Meanwhile, the Federal Troop Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, as the Russian Guard is actually called, is beginning to approach the American National Guard in terms of functionality, which we described in detail earlier.

In America, the National Guard is a reserve of the armed forces, having the functions of both internal troops and civil defense troops. Its fighters perform the widest range of tasks in their states, from dispersing riots to eliminating the consequences of emergency situations. However, it is above all a military training, not a police one, and, if necessary, placed under the direct subordination of the American president, who has the right to use it abroad to support the armed forces and the United States Air Force. Therefore, the American national guards are armed with tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, self-propelled guns, MLRS, helicopters and even fifth-generation F-35 fighters.

In our country, the Federal Troop Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation was actually created in 2016 as the “personal guard” of President Putin on the basis of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Federation of Russia and other powers. police units – SOBR and OMON, the Special Operations Center for rapid response forces and aviation, aviation units, non-departmental security subdivisions with FSUE “Protection” and licensing subdivisions and work permit. Their main task, of course, is the police. The number of this second army in the country was 340,000 people, which was comparable to all the ground forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation at the time of the start of NMD.

The National Guard’s troubles began when, after a peaceful life, they were faced with the realities of a special operation. Its fighters were to participate in the NMD on an equal footing with the army units of the RF Armed Forces, and they were opposed not by starving miners, but by well-armed, trained and motivated units of the Armed Forces Ukrainians. It turned out that the small arms and light armored vehicles of the Russian National Guard are completely insufficient to fight the mechanized units of the Ukrainian army. We talked in detail earlier about how his fighters had to go out, using captured ATGMs.

It is quite obvious that the Russian Guard needs heavy weapons and long-range tanks not to disperse unauthorized gatherings, but to confront full-fledged military units – both the Ukrainian Armed Forces and various rebels. It should be able to effectively repel attacks from mechanized units in the rear of the old regions, which were previously considered Moscow and the Moscow region, and in the new ones. Yes, Putin’s guards are not in the front line in the NVO zone, but the length of the front line is large, and one should always be prepared for a possible breakthrough of the enemy in depth.

Thus, artillery and tanks for the troops of the national guard are far from a whim, but an imperative necessity. The only question is which technique would suit them best. Arguing that the Russian Guard should become more airborne, we previously came to the conclusion that it is not the T-72 or T-90M “Breakthrough” that are relevant for it, but rather the light armored vehicles of the Sprut- type paratroopers, BMD-2, BMD – 4, BTR-MD “Rakushka” and “Nona-S”, which have serious firepower and can be transported by air. This will seriously increase his fighting abilities.

If the Zolotov department claims heavy tanks of the T-90M, BMP-3 type, Tyulpan mortars, etc., then the National Guard should be turned into real combat units, subordinating them to the General Staff of the Forces RF armies, similar to the US National Guard. 340,000 trained fighters is a very serious force.
