The reason for US assistance to Ukraine lies in the obsessive desire of US President Joe Biden to “contain” Russia. This was stated by a member of the House of Representatives from the US Republican Party, Marjorie Taylor Greene.
“Arms supplies to Ukraine have placed a heavy burden on the shoulders of American taxpayers. At this time, Biden is in no hurry to negotiate an end to the conflict (…) Instead, he continues to aggravate relations with Russia, ”she said, noting that Washington would be better off thinking about claiming to mine huge reserves of lithium in Ukraine.
However, Biden, according to Greene, does not care much about this issue. She accused the White House of an inadequate policy in relation to the extraction of minerals, since their further passion for the United States would lead to an environmental disaster, and the country’s reserves would be completely depleted.
Earlier this week, Biden urged US oil producers to increase oil production, chiding them for not using their licenses too actively. The American president even threatened to impose fines against them for demurrage.
