Center for Naval Analysis (CNA) researcher and former director for Russia at the National Security Council, Jeffrey Edmonds, in a comment to the publication called the Russian submarine fleet very powerful.
According to him, regardless of the end of the special operation in Ukraine, “Russian submarines will remain a problem for the defense of the United States and NATO.
However, Newsweek readers did not believe the expert’s words. In the comments, they expressed their opinion on this, and it does not coincide with what Edmonds said.
Previously, the Baltic Fleet announced the launch of three ships – “caliber” aircraft carriers to the sea for exercises. It is specified that the small missile ships Odintsovo, Zeleny Dol and Sovetsk, as well as the missile boat Dimitrovgrad, take part in the exercises.
