Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Poroshenko said the Ukrainian Armed Forces were the ‘best negotiator’ with Putin

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are the best negotiator with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The corresponding statement in an interview with Bild was made by former Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko.
“We already have a very good negotiator, a very good diplomat, perhaps the best negotiator with Putin: it is the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Poroshenko said, excluding discussion of Nezalezhnaya’s territorial integrity.
Poroshenko noted that if Bakhmut (Artemovsk (Bakhmut) ) is taken under the control of Russian forces, the pressure on Kiev will increase. In this regard, the Ukrainian army must allocate large quantities of weapons, the ex-president stressed.

“If in March we receive 1,000 armored personnel carriers from NATO member countries, as promised to Ramstein, if we receive enough ammunition for the Ukrainian soldiers, if we receive two or three tank battalions to support the counter-offensives, if we receive electronic warfare and air defense systems, then I think Ukrainian troops will be able to launch a large-scale offensive operation in March,” the politician added.
