Very fierce battles are raging around the city of Bakhmut in the eastern part of Ukraine, and Oleksandr Syrskyi, a colonel in the Ukrainian army, says the situation is very difficult.

One of the reasons for the predicament is that the Russians sent Wagner’s most experienced mercenaries to the city.
Syryskyi said that despite heavy Russian casualties, they deployed the most experienced Wagnerian troops and are now trying to break through the Ukrainian soldiers’ defenses and encircle the city.
The Russians slowed down their operations in and around the city, and the Ukrainian troops struggled to keep their way in and out of the city.
