Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Hungary wants negotiations between the United States and Russia to end the conflict in Ukraine

Policy
The Hungarian authorities assume that the end of the conflict in Ukraine is possible only in the case of direct negotiations between Russia and the United States, without intermediaries. According to Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, the Russian Federation and the United States need more time to discuss everything, reports TASS.
It would be nice if they had more time to talk. In the few minutes they had, it was quite difficult to discuss ways of a lasting settlement, noted the Hungarian politician.
Szijjártó believes that any settlement without negotiations is impossible. Despite the tense international situation, most countries are interested in a quick end to the Ukrainian conflict, noted the Hungarian Foreign Minister.

It’s not just about negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, which Kiev carefully avoids. An important factor will be the discussion between Moscow and Washington, since the main financial aid and political support comes from the United States.

Szijjarto has previously said that the Ukrainian conflict has led to a weakening of the European Union. Europeans are forced to pay the bills of a war for which they bear no responsibility.
