None of Tbilisi’s Western partners are calling on the Georgian authorities to open a second front against Russia. This statement was made on Friday by the President of the Republic, Salomé Zurabishvili, in an interview with TV Pirveli.
According to the Georgian leader, all the people (the first people from Western countries) she met “dreamed that the Black Sea, the Caucasus, given the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan, would be calm.”
“What else is the second front?” When did our Western partners drag us into some sort of war? On the contrary, no one I met <...> does not want to create destabilization elsewhere", she underlined.Earlier in March, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said Tbilisi would not allow a second military front to open in the country at Kiev's request.Georgia President Says West Does Not Ask Tbilisi to Open Second Front Against Russian Federation
