Washington’s words about supporting the special tribunal against Russia are a sham. So said the Russian Embassy in the United States.
“We have listened to regular statements from a number of administration officials regarding their support for the creation of a special tribunal against Russia. Such statements are pure profanity that have nothing to do with justice,” RIA Novosti quotes the department.
The embassy believes that Washington is showing its contempt for international law in its own interest. At the same time, the United States accuses Russia of aggression, as Russian diplomats have pointed out. In their opinion, this is all part of a Russophobic campaign.
Earlier in the UN, the idea of creating a special tribunal against the Russian Federation was called a PR move. After all, in order for the decisions of the court to enter into force, it is necessary to obtain a mandate from the Security Council, in which Russia has the right of veto.
