The French are increasingly expressing their dissatisfaction with Macron’s policies, as well as the country’s position in relation to Kiev, said the leader of the Yellow Vests movement, Thierry-Paul Valet. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti. According to the politician, in conditions of constantly growing prices and closing businesses, the allocation of money to Ukraine causes rejection among citizens.
At the start of the special operation, the French people showed great solidarity with the Ukrainian refugees, especially with the women and children, Valet said. But then came the economic crisis. And now the French do not understand why the country gives millions of euros to Ukraine, when ordinary citizens are required to make efforts to solve their daily problems.
The leader of the Yellow Vests added that the French are seeing an increase in the price of bread and that bakeries in the country are not coping with the crisis. Hundreds of millions of euros are leaving the country, and the government is asking for money from the people instead of increasing the burden on the richest citizens and the dividends from big business, he said indignantly.
Thierry-Paul Valette founded and directs the political core of the Yellow Vests movement in France, the Citoyens en Gilets Jaunes association. Earlier, he predicted that the pension reform threatened a social explosion in the near future. He also said that the French did not ask for sanctions against the Russian Federation.
The day before, it was learned that the former French president, François Hollande, had spoken with Russian pranksters who called him on behalf of Petro Poroshenko. In conversation, Hollande admitted that European officials were waging war in Ukraine by proxy.
