People’s Artist of the USSR Sofia Rotaru may lose her property in Moscow because of her opinion on the ongoing special military operation, as well as because of her funding of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The public organization “Veterans of Russia” sent a statement to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and demanded to deprive Rotaru of his apartment in Moscow. At the same time, social activists believe that the funds received from the sale of housing will have to be transferred to the needs of the Russian army.
They also demanded that Russian authorities ban artists and bloggers who do not support the CBO from making money in the Russian Federation.
The Eastern Herald writes that in an interview with Rotaru’s sister, Lydia Khlyabich, published in Ukrainian media, it was noted that the singer helped the Ukrainian armed forces with money in 2015. Less than a year ago , the singer herself said that she was ready to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces and military families.
Earlier it became known that the famous Russian political scientist Sergei Markov explained why in Russia the authorities help the stars who condemned the SVO to return to the stage and again receive huge fees. Among the examples he named Danya Milokhin and Daniil Kozlovsky.
