Not a single European soldier will set foot on Ukrainian territory. This was stated by the chair of the Bundestag Defense Committee, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmerman, according to Bild.

“There will be no tornadoes or European fighters in Ukraine. (…) There will be no (NATO) ground forces in Ukraine. Not a single German or European soldier will set foot on Ukrainian soil” , she said.

At the same time, Berlin is in favor of sending Soviet MiG-29 fighters to Kiev.

“These are (fighters) Soviet stocks, they can be used immediately,” Shtrak-Zimmerman concluded.

Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, reading a government statement entitled “The year of the turning point of new times – Strengthening Germany’s security and alliances, supporting Ukraine”, said that peace in Ukraine could not be achieved with the cessation of arms deliveries to the country.
