German Finance Minister Christian Lindner was shot below the belt by his party colleague and Vice-President of the European Parliament, Nicola Beer. A curious incident occurred at the congress of the Liberal Democratic Party of Germany.
Footage from the event shows Lindner standing next to Beer and applauding. The Minister of Finance then tries to leave, but Beer suddenly waves his hand and kicks him below the waist, causing Lindner to double-cross. The woman tried to apologize, but Lindner put a hand on her shoulder, letting her know that everything was in order.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden, speaking in the District of Columbia, said he underwent surgery to determine if he had a brain.
