Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Azarov says Kiev endangers the continent’s nuclear security

October 3, 2025

Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said the actions of the current Ukrainian authorities endanger nuclear security on the continent.

“Today, the illegal activities of the Kiev regime are once again endangering the nuclear security of our continent,” he wrote on his Facebook* page.

Azarov also stressed that the Ukrainian side destroys nuclear facilities and does not think about the consequences. In addition, the Kiev regime threatens the safe and reliable operation of nuclear power plants on the territory of Ukraine, increasing the risk of accidents.

Earlier, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said the agency’s experts stationed at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant regularly heard shelling in the area.
