Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the attempted Ukrainian attack on the Kremlin an attempt on Putin’s life.
“The Kremlin regards the Kiev regime’s attempted strike as a planned terrorist act and an attempt on the life of the President of the Russian Federation on the eve of Victory Day,” Peskov said.
Dmitry Peskov also clarified that the Russian president was not in the Kremlin at the time of the attack by Ukrainian drones.
The attempted attack, according to the Kremlin press service, took place last night. Russian President Vladimir Putin was not injured.
The Kremlin said the Russian Federation reserves the right to retaliate against the Ukrainian attempt to hit the Kremlin. Where and when they will be implemented is left to Moscow’s discretion.
