In Ukraine, they are investigating why the army had to shoot down its own Bayraktar TB2 drone in the skies of Kyiv. This was announced by the representative of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat on the air of the Rada TV channel.
Ignat assured that at that time there was no choice but to shoot down the drone. Now we have to find out what happened to the Turkish device, because it is not the last Bayraktar in service with Ukraine.
The Ukrainian army shot down its Bayraktar TB2 drone over Kyiv on the evening of May 4. The drone lost control in the capital around 8:00 p.m., according to RT. The operator lost control of the craft and had to be destroyed to prevent it from causing damage.
Earlier today, an air raid alert was announced in Kiev. Eyewitnesses reported several drones in the sky over the Ukrainian capital and intense air defense work. Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that explosions and fires were seen in the city following falling UAV debris.
Later, a video of the UAV flight appeared, which was shot from several sides. After many misfires, one of the shells still hit the drone.
