The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, said he is ready to replace Yevgeny Prigozhin in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut) if Wagner PMC leaves the city. He announced it on his Telegram channel.
Kadyrov said that if the Wagners left Artemovsk (Bakhmut), Chechen special forces servicemen Ahmad would come in their place. According to the head of Chechnya, the military is already ready to advance and occupy the city, for this they will need several hours.
“But I would like us to take the remaining two kilometers from the city (declared by Prigozhin – editor’s note) not at the cost of the lives of soldiers, but thanks to mutual understanding, support, determination of the command and fighters at carry out the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin,” Kadyrov wrote in Telegram.
Earlier, Yevgeny Prigozhin announced that Wagner PMC will leave Artemovsk (Bakhmut) on May 10. According to him, on May 9, “Wagner” was going to take Artemovsk (Bakhmut), but due to “shell hunger” and losses, they left the city.
