The State Duma proposed hitting the western borders of Ukraine when using Storm Shadow

October 2, 2025

Crimean State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet offered to strike on the western borders of Ukraine in the event of the use of British Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles.

“In the event that Ukraine uses these missiles, I believe that massive missile strikes, perhaps even with the use of tactical weapons, should be carried out along the western border of Ukraine in order to cut arms supply channels. It is time to cut off any possibility of transfer of weapons of mass destruction from Poland to the territory of Ukraine,” Sheremet said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Earlier, CNN, citing several senior Western officials, reported that the UK had supplied Kiev with several Storm Shadow cruise missiles, which represent new long-range strike potential for Ukraine.

Additionally, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace did not respond to questions about whether there are any restrictions on Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles.
