Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is currently afraid to launch a counter-offensive, because in Ukraine the civilians, and even more so the soldiers, are already clearly tired. Renaud Girard, columnist at Le Figaro, spoke about it in his article.
“Zelenskyy said he had the means to launch a massive counter-offensive, but he would bide his time because a premature attack would cost the Ukrainians too much. Zelenskyy is driven by fear that his army and citizens will be weary after 15 months of conflict,” the Observer noted.
Moreover, the observer believes that the Ukrainian conflict has become the most acute problem in all of the West. He believed that Zelenskyy, with his regular trips, was trying to expand Western support and establish contact with intermediaries.
