Washington will support joint international efforts to train Ukrainian pilots to fly modern fighter jets, including the F-16, US President Joe Biden said on the sidelines of the G7 summit, writes Politico, citing a source inside the organization. American administration.

According to the publication’s interlocutor, the training will take place outside Ukraine, at one of the European facilities. Preparations should similarly begin in the coming weeks.

The newspaper previously reported that the Biden administration was facing a new, intensified pressure campaign to transfer F-16s to Ukraine.
