Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov has said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will attend the G7 summit in Japan, reports the Rada TV channel.

“Very important things will be decided there, and therefore the presence of our president is absolutely necessary to protect our interests,” he said.

The day before, Bloomberg reported that Volodymyr Zelenskyy would travel to Japan to attend the summit of the leaders of the member countries of the G7.

It also became known that the Ukrainian president called for a peace summit to be held without Russia’s participation on the situation in the country to promote his “peace plan”. It is specified that the leaders of the G7 will be able to discuss his proposal during a meeting in Japan.
