Ukraine will receive weapons from Western countries even after the end of the conflict, RT reports with reference to an interview with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on German TV channel Welt.
“In the future, we will also have to talk about security guarantees, that’s clear. These security guarantees include the extent to which we will arm Ukraine in the future. After the war, Ukraine will be equipped with Western-made weapons,” Scholz said.
At the same time, Scholz noted that Western countries have not yet discussed security guarantees on this issue, since the conflict is not over.
In addition, the Chancellor added that in the foreseeable future Ukraine will not be able to become a member of NATO, in particular due to its inability to fulfill a number of necessary conditions for joining the alliance.
Earlier, political scientist Bohdan Bezpalko called Germany the biggest donor to Ukraine. He noted that even before the start of the special operation, Germany covered the Ukrainian communal apartment, although it was not engaged in the supply of weapons.
