The leaders of Japan and the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) intend to develop joint work in space and cyberspace to counter Russia and China. The Nikkei writes about it.
It should be noted that the cooperation agreement will most likely be signed at the NATO summit in July in Lithuania. The event is being prepared to attend Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
According to the publication, the goal of the updated cooperation program is to form common approaches with Russia and China. The parties plan to deepen cooperation in the fields of outer space and cyberspace, which now pay attention to Moscow and Beijing.
Earlier, Kishida confirmed that Japan has no plans to join NATO, but continues to build relationships with alliance members.
