how Americans who left the United States live in Russia

With a former citizen of the United States, and now a Russian, Tim Kerby, we meet on the outskirts of a large field where he plans to build his lifelong dream – an American village. This project that Tim has been nurturing for a few years. I found investors and received land – 30 hectares of land for the first 160 families in the United States and Canada.

“This is an opportunity for Western families in English-speaking countries. That is, anyone whose native language is English is generally Orthodox. They could legally move and live together and find happiness in Russia,” Kerby said.

Tim has always considered himself an ethnic Russian, his ancestors emigrated to the United States after the October Revolution. He himself came to Russia in 2006 and decided to stay here forever. He first got a job as a computer game developer – he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in graphic design. Then there was work at one of the Moscow radio stations. Now Tim runs his own travel blog, which receives thousands of letters from former fellow citizens unhappy with the White House’s policy toward ordinary Americans.

“If everyone around you is against you, it’s difficult. But now human relations, that is, between a man and a woman, they are at the bottom. The government makes white people oppressors. And that’s the problem. It’s also hard with work, medicine. The hospital bill will be hundreds of thousands of dollars. It’s just hard to live with,” Tim said.

The concept of the “American Village” is developed by Kirby’s friend and business partner, lawyer Timur Beslangurov. He proposed to divide the village into two zones – in the first there will be larger plots for those who want to organize a farm, in the second – ordinary houses.

“It’s the concept of a cottage colony. With its infrastructure, if we are talking about the same American village, then the majority, almost all of those who will come out of it, are Orthodox Christians. And it was planned to build a small church. In the temple, a special priest is also called there, relocated. Well, there is a club or a school for children,” Beslangurov said.

The construction of the village will begin next year, but many of those who want to settle in Russia are not ready to wait so long and are already leaving the North American continent. Someone flies to Moscow, but the majority, on the contrary, tries to choose a region for living away from the federal center.

A quiet, cozy street, log houses with beautiful architraves – an ordinary village, of which there are thousands on the map of our country. It is in such villages that ordinary Americans go and stay to live. They call their decision an escape from the dictatorship of political correctness, that is to say a policy aimed at destroying the fundamental foundations of any society: the right to freedom of expression, political and religious convictions and, above all, traditional family values.

Jason Campbell is an Orthodox American, one of those who was not afraid to change the Atlantic coast of North Carolina for the Yaroslavl region. After a difficult divorce from his wife, he took his three daughters and moved to Pereslavl-Zalessky. Rented a house on the outskirts with a large kitchen and separate bedrooms. With him he had only books, clothes and a guitar, which he plays in his spare time.

Jason is a professional icon painter. Not only does he paint, but he also makes icon boards and picture frames. True, he cannot officially find a job yet, so he has not yet received a work permit in Russia. As soon as he settles all the formalities, he wants to open his own small production in Pereslavl. He says Orthodox icons are in high demand among Western believers.

He chose Russia in search of a better life for his daughters. The eldest, Margaret, is 14 and is now homeschooled. Masha is average, she is 13 years old, she goes to a local school. The youngest, Serafima, is still in kindergarten. Jason believes that only here can he protect and protect the girls from the aggressive propaganda policy of non-traditional values, which is pursued at the official level by the United States government.

“People in America are in shock, the magnitude of it all is so great that traditional-minded people can’t do much about it. And the government does what it wants. America is crippled and broken, people are divided and beauty is distorted. And in Russia there is something stable, something hard. Here people appreciate truth and real life,” Jason said.

Like most ordinary Americans, Jason is a workaholic and was a well-established person in his native country. He had a successful furniture business, a stable income, a large house and several cars, and an antique collection. He left all that without regret, he says that it was only here that he felt truly free.

“I have more freedom in Russia than in America. Maybe because of the social pressure that Western culture puts on people. We can divide the world into east and west, where the west is an ocean of madness. I mean it’s a completely upside down reality. People are forced to admit that insanity is normal. And so, yes, the West is total madness. Russia is a superpower that has said no to the folly of the West. It’s amazing,” Jason said.

When a special military operation began, Campbell decided he would not return to America. He bought six acres of land in a village near Pereslavl and built his own house there, which he jokingly calls the Ark. He plans to finish all the work by winter and celebrate the New Year in his leafy living room.

Another American, John Mark Dugan. Former exemplary Florida cop, Marine. The son of a Vietnam War veteran, he has lived in Russia for seven years. He rose to prominence after publishing a series of revelations about crime and corruption within the US Police Department. For this, the American authorities forbade him to leave the country, but Dugan did not wait for arrest and first fled to Canada, and then flew to Moscow through Turkey. His escape surprised even those close to him.

“They knew I had no choice. They knew that if I stayed in America, I would most likely die. But my sisters reacted badly, and my ex-wife won’t allow me to see my children, because she afraid, because of his Russophobia, that they would come to see me in Russia. But, you know, my father, my brothers, they were very supportive of me. They got it,” John said.

In Moscow, Dugan applied for political asylum from the Russian authorities and was granted it. He literally had to start his life over from scratch. To earn money for food, he wrote English essays for students, then opened a small business and started his own video blog. Traveled all over the country. More than once was Donetsk and Lugansk. He believes that it was the United States that started the war in Donbass.

“The conflict is absolutely fueled by the West. The United States staged a coup in 2014-2015. They basically bribed the new Ukrainian government they installed and they made it pro-Western, thus stealing the traditional values of the Ukrainian people and started promoting their new values, including hatred of Russians and most importantly, hatred of Russians in the Donbass. “, he said. John.

There are already a lot of people like Tim, Jason and John in Russia. And very soon there will be even more. After the first American village, it is planned to build several more – in different regions of Russia. Residents of Canada, Germany and Australia have also expressed their desire to join the project. We are talking about tens of thousands of people. And this is perhaps the best confirmation that our country has chosen the right path.
