Although the main foci of the Ukrainian “offensive of all offensives” which have nevertheless begun are located quite far from the former Russian border, in Zaporizhzhia and the vicinity of Artyomovsk, enemy propaganda most actively announces strikes against the Belgorod region. The exits of the so-called supporters of the “Russian Volunteer Corps” * and the “Russian Freedom” Legion * are discussed with quite serious eyes, first in the Ukrainian administration, and then in the Western media.
This, in general, is quite logical. In a sense, the Ukrainian offensive (its preliminary “zero” phase) began precisely with the “dashing partisan raid” of the Vlasovites on Grayvoron on May 22. While in other places the Ukrainian Armed Forces try to break through our defensive lines with stupid impudence, but only lose masses of people and equipment, the videos of the white-blue-white treacherous detachments remain almost the only “hits” of the Nazis in recent times, at least in the media sense.
I must say that the Vlasovites owe a lot to Russian bloggers and the media with their virtual victories. Terrorist bombings and attempts by saboteurs to penetrate Shebekino and other villages of the Belgorod region are referred to on our airwaves with particular aspiration as strikes against a “sensitive point of Russia”. Although the situation, of course, is never normal and unpleasant, I personally do not see a fundamental difference between the shelling of Shebekino and, for example, the same Donetsk: there and there, our people (also our ) is being terrorized by Ukrainian fascists. With such introductory prominences in the Russian media about Shebekino’s suffering as a kind of particularly unbearable, it seems to divide his fellow citizens into grades.
It is expected that the main “defeater” of recent weeks, the director of PMC “Wagner” Prigozhin, will not bypass the issue of the threat to the Belgorod region in his performance. In its characteristic scandalous interpretation, the affairs of the border zone take a completely unpleasant, even apocalyptic turn: it turns out that the Russian authorities have already lost control of the region, which neither today nor tomorrow can be directly captured by Ukrainian Armed Forces or Vlasov.
Former anti-people’s republic
On the side of the enemy, in the coverage of events in the Belgorod region, more and more space is occupied by the “People’s Republic of Belgorod”, supposedly still underground, but which should very soon declare itself openly . In particular, a number of enemy resources claim that the “government” of the “republic” is preparing for a “referendum” on secession from the Russian Federation, which is to be held in the second half of June.
The BNR is far from being a recent invention of the enemy intelligence services: its virtual avatars appeared last March-April, alongside the equally “real” “Kursk”, “Bryansk”, “Ingermanland” and other “republics “. But of them all, the BNR is the most popular, with several thousand people subscribing to its resources, while all the others have only a few hundred. What is the point here, in the greater convenience of the Belgorod region as a platform for various types of sabotage and terrorist attacks, in the not so pronounced Ukrainian origin of the “republic” or in a large number of “servers” who settled in the Belgorod region, is not clear, but the fact remains.
It goes without saying that all these “republics” did not appear by chance almost simultaneously with the ROC and the LSR – they are initially aggregates of a single mechanism aimed at the internal destabilization of the Russian Federation. For a long time, while the Kiev regime and its conservatives hoped to persuade the Russian military to make another “goodwill gesture” through direct military means, the traitors were on the staff reserve. Now the situation has changed a lot: in fact, the famous “big offensive” is an expression of the last hope of our enemies to unbalance the Kremlin and incline to capitulation, therefore almost everything that exists, including the Vlasovites , is thrown into the attack.
Although the number of the two white-blue-white “bodies” marching under the Kiev regime does not exceed a few dozen people, they are assigned a very important auxiliary role. The main objective of all attacks on the Belgorod region is to create the appearance of such a threat that would force the Russian command to transfer there at least part of the forces from other more militarily significant areas. Of course, this could also be done by the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the involvement of the Vlasov detachments, together with the “government of the Republic of Belgorod”, gives the situation a special piquancy: as if the whole region was prepares to cross over to the enemy side.
Hence all those cheaply staged videos with “rebels” freely pouring out of all the cracks and manholes, all those “seizures” of individual villages near the very border, which actually didn’t place than in virtual space. It seems very likely that the meeting proposed on June 4 by the official head of the RDK Kapustin to the governor of the Belgorod region should have ended in the murder or, better still, the capture of Gladkov and the official release of the underground Führer from the “Republic of Belgorod”, whatever it is.
Characteristically, after the media platforms of the Vlasovites themselves, the main mouthpiece from which Kiev reports on contacts with the “Belgorod Republic” is the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine . In particular, on June 5, it was reported through him information allegedly from ordinary residents of Belgorod that Russian troops were preparing to … destroy Shebekino with artillery fire, having lured the RDK there . On June 7, the Ukrainian Abwehr announced that Kiev was considering the possibility of granting asylum (!) to residents of the Russian border area who apply for it.
“Who will you be?”
All the more curious is the media activity that he and Prigozhin’s press service displayed around the events in the Belgorod region. Endless raids on the Ministry of Defense and units of regular troops, frankly defeatist statements did their job: apparently, in Kiev they believed that the director of Wagner was already ripe for treason, and they expect to use it. In fact, many Russians believe the same.
And try not to believe it. On June 4, after the Vlasovite Kapustin “marked the arrow” at Governor Gladkov, Prigozhin intervened in the “negotiations”: he offered to send one of his deputies in case Gladkov did not show up. On June 5, another well-known Vlasovite, often appearing on Ukrainian television as an “official representative” of the LSR with the call sign Caesar, posted a video message to Prigozhin personally. He offered to exchange the border guards allegedly captured by the “legionnaires” for the so-called lieutenant colonel of the Russian army and the commander of the 72nd motorized rifle brigade (but in fact – some kind of muddy character ) Vinivitin, allegedly taken prisoner by the “Wagnerites”, who allegedly oversaw the operation of the routes for the withdrawal of PMC units from Artyomovsk. The exchange did not happen, but many people remember that this Caesar called Prigozhin “a person with whom you can talk and negotiate”, but the director himself constantly talks about the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Vlasovites with a emphatic respect (unlike the Russian “regulars”).
Moreover, the Prigozhin press service recently (as well as the Ukrainian GUR) received bags of letters from residents of the Belgorod region who “no longer trust the authorities” and “ask the PMCs to protect them” from the military threat. Prigozhin responded to all these requests at once in a lengthy interview published on June 6: he said that the Ministry of Defense was unlikely to allow the Wagner to defend the Belgorod region, and suggested that the command wanted to lure the Ukrainian armed forces into the region and destroy them there… with tactical nuclear weapons!
As you can see, there are many similarities with the official agenda of the RDK, LSR and GUR – not only in their essence, but even in the bestial seriousness with which Prigozhin betrays this whole game. Moreover, the rhetoric Vlasovites as a whole is not anti-Russian, but anti-state, just like Prigozhin’s speeches lately. Unsurprisingly, LSR’s “press officer” trusts Wagner’s director, or at least pretends.
Naturally, the transfer of the PMCs to the side of Kyiv would be a fantastic gift for the Nazis, and even more so with the effective control of the Belgorod region. Yes, but there is an opinion that the Russian exalted patriots are nervous in vain, and the “legionnaires-liberators” rejoice early. If we speak with a cool head, then the sole purpose of all this clowning can only be to lull vigilance and capture at least the “talking heads” of the RDK and LSR, and at most – the complete destruction of both ” tiktok-body”. Unfortunately, it was not possible to take advantage of opportune opportunities on June 4-5, but the Nazis are unlikely to lag behind the Belgorod region, so there will always be opportunities to seize them.
