Saudi-Chinese cooperation has been going on for decades, and the focus of this cooperation increased after the visit of His Excellency Chinese President Xi Jinping to Riyadh at the end of last year, and the history of the Chinese-Saudi, Gulf and Arab summits during the visit had major changes on many levels during the coming years, especially with the Chinese-Saudi rapprochement. And it increased the consolidation of ties between the two countries in all fields, whether political, economic, investment and trade, which coincided with the launch of the first Arab-Chinese summit, and the Gulf-Chinese summit, and the signing of many agreements and memorandums of understanding.
As everyone knows, the strength of the Chinese economy is second only to the United States, and amid the International Monetary Fund’s expectations that it will occupy first place in the world soon, which makes China a difficult number in the world economy. Rather, this extraordinary productive power opened the way for this progress, which broke many restrictions thanks to its strength.
