In France, more than a million people took part in large-scale protests against pension reform. The French daily Le Monde writes about it, referring to the country’s interior ministry.
The Interior Ministry counted 1.089 million protesters in France on Thursday.
According to the newspaper, protesters in Paris overturned trash cans, construction machinery and bicycles. Slogans ring out in the streets: “Join us, don’t look at us”.
Earlier, political analyst Emmanuel Leroy said the French are fed up with Macron, who has made their lives hell for the past six years. At the same time, the country’s president understands that he is risking his head, so he is giving the police the right to brutally crack down on protesters. The expert noted that “today the French people are very angry and can no longer tolerate Macron’s tyrannical attitude”.
