5.5 magnitude earthquake hits northern Indonesia

EMSC seismologists recorded a 5.5 magnitude earthquake in northern Indonesia. Operational information on seismic activity in the Flores Sea is published on the center’s website.
According to scientists, tremors were recorded at 8:40 a.m. local time (in Moscow + 3 hours). The map shows that the earthquake occurred 80 kilometers north of the Indonesian coast at a depth of about 30 km. The nearest city to the site of a natural disaster is Burma, there was no information on the tangibility of the earthquake.
