A 6.2 magnitude earthquake hits the Canadian coast

The US Geological Survey (USGS) has announced that a magnitude 6.2 earthquake has been recorded off Canada. It should be noted that the source of the earthquake was 11 kilometers underground.

There is no information on casualties and damage. Tsunami threats were also not recorded. The earthquake’s epicenter was located 211 kilometers southwest of Port McNeill, British Columbia.

Previously, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake was recorded near the Nicobar Islands. In addition, during April 9, five earthquakes with magnitudes between 4.4 and 5.2 occurred in this region.
